Domestic Project

I have always sought in the act of designing the possibility of going beyond the mere practice of building: making room for the soul of the project, creating environments born from a sincere gesture, from a clear intention, from a conscious vision, in search of a “beauty according to measure”, a beauty that does not exceed, but expresses itself through its own mindful genuineness.

Plato said: “Beauty is the splendor of truth.” For this reason, I hope that my works may be appreciated for the values of authenticity and beauty that inspired them. In a time dominated by speed and image, the value of authenticity becomes an act of resistance. It is the house that tells without flaunting, that shows without exhibiting itself.

Authenticity thus becomes the first reference value, absolute and all‑embracing, global and rigorous. It admits no shortcuts nor exceptions: a project is authentic only if everything that composes it responds to an inner truth, coherent and recognizable. One cannot fake the sincerity of a space: one can only create it or betray it. And to betray it means delivering to dwelling something that is not truly alive, something that seems but is not, something that appears without being.

In an authentic home, beauty arises from respect for truth: form does not dominate, function does not deceive, light does not pretend. A principle that orders space, shapes experience, and welcomes life.

Authenticity does not fear time; on the contrary, it embraces it as part of its language. Every trace of time becomes testimony, a living memory of dwelling. The patina of time is a form of lived beauty.

And so the authentic home does not fear time: it welcomes it, measures it, transforms it into living memory. It is not built to be beautiful only today, nor to follow the ephemeral fashion of a moment: it is born to endure, to accompany life through its cycles, its daily gestures, its changes. Every room, every corner, every detail is conceived to withstand the passing of years without losing its truth.

Time flows, certainly: seasons follow one another, people grow, change, drift apart or meet again. But an authentic home is not a passive container; it is a space capable of transforming together with those who inhabit it, without betraying its essence. The walls hold the memory of conversations, laughter, embraces, small everyday dramas. The floors bear the marks of steps and runs, of improvised dances. Everything that happens within it stratifies, creating a palpable story, invisible to the eyes yet perceptible in the atmosphere.

Time passes, and with it life: new loves are born, small disappointments unfold, sudden joys are celebrated. The authentic home remains, a silent and participating witness, confirming each day that the most precious construction is not that of the walls, but that of lived experience. It is there, in the encounter between permanence and change, that its authenticity is measured: a home that lives with those who live it, that survives trends, and continues to be true, beautiful, welcoming, even when the years have left their marks.

Ultimately, inhabiting an authentic home means perceiving time differently: not as something that consumes, but as something that enriches, stratifies, deepens every experience, every gesture. It also means recognizing that what makes a home truly alive is the life that flows within it, the love that manifests and settles there. And in this, authenticity reveals itself in its most powerful form.

It is in this encounter between permanence and occurrence, between structure and feeling, that every project reaches its true authenticity: not in the perfection of its elements, but in the fragile balance between design intention and the freedom of life. Every detail of the construction supports what happens: when affections manifest, when daily life unfolds, one understands that everything else — every compromise, every calculation, every technical choice — has found its reason for being: anticipating the unfolding of life in the home, preparing the scene, setting up a space for everyday living, for intimacy, where a certain thing may happen, setting the table, embracing.

Thus every domestic project becomes enriched with people, private events, loves and regrets, which overlap with technical matters of humidity, color, and material to prevail and reaffirm each time that life and love are stronger than construction.
